    • Thankyou! The dad, Jose, was taking the photo so he didn’t get in this shot. The day before, I learned over lunch via broken English and no Spanish, that they not only did not have a camera, but also they had no photos of themselves. Nada. Not even one. I was in shock but recovered my senses enough to set up a family portrait session for the next morning on our way off the property. I took dozens of shot of them individually and as a family and sent them after I got back to the States. Jose insisted on taking this photo of his wife, kids, and us. I confirmed with the property owner that Jose had received the photos and was profusely thanked. This confirmed that there really are no language barriors, only need some creative conversations.
